A Prospect Heights collective for creative experiments,
renewal, stillness and celebration. Welcome home.
Be. Play. Make. Offer. Join us.
When all was said and done, there were ten of them: each the size of a mail box, each uniquely designed by an emerging architect, and each making its debut at a Lower Manhattan location. With considerable planning and a great deal of inspired cooperation, Little Free Libraries–together with their “take a book, return a book” philosophy–hit the streets of New York City this spring in a bold and ingenious way. An urban experiment in honor of reading, generosity, art and community-building, and a collaboration among The PEN World Voices Festival, The Architectural League, Little Free Library…and The Brooklyn Cottage.
